Additional Thoughts

So as I sit here and try to analyze why the European Community whas not allowed Turkey to join, I have become more and more jaded about my future here in the United States. I no longer feel as if I am a part of it, or that it really offers what I feel I need. My sights are now set beyond the horizon.
Its very funny. Many people who have gone abroad and have come back have experienced the same feelings that I have been feeling, but have returned to their normal lives and relapsed into their past worries, aspirations, or dreams. Well...at least it appears so. For me it still remains different. My convictions and aspirations remain no less weakened nor changed than they did when I set foot off that plane back in San Francisco from my trip abroad. In fact, I've set my sights on even greater and more ambitious plans for myself these next few years. One of them being to start in Europe and end in Argentina. God...it sounds too ambitious, very risky, and of course requires a lot of money (of which I do not have at this moment). But I am so convinced and excited about it, that none of these hindrances make me think twice.

I do feel rather cliché in divulging such thoughts, and to those who are sick of hearing them, I too have become sick of hearing myself say them. But it is only becuase they still boil in my mind everyday, the itch to be somewhere else, to start fresh, to begin a new and exciting adventurous life. I no longer see myself here in the future, and as a buddy of mine said a few days back, "I am done with California."

On another note, I have been getting seriously retro in my musical tastes, i.e.
- David Bowie (FAME!!!)
- Dire Straits (Sultans of Swing)
- Prince (Kiss)
- Cleerence Clearwater Revival (Proud Mary)
- Elton John (Bennie and the Jets)

A Post in Powell

I'm sitting here in Powell Library trying to write an essay.
Just created a blog account. Lets see how this goes. Last time I kept up with any form of blogging, it was with good old xanga.com. I'll try and keep you all posted. Especially on my thoughts about the world.
